having all those hormones in my body like my body just really did not enjoy
0:05
that whole process and the my whole life I've been telling my body don't fall pregnant don't fall pregnant and now I was like okay no fall pregnant fall
0:11
pregnant like it's really confused well not fall pregnant but let's get some

0:28
eggs I am so excited to welcome our next guest um I feel incredibly grateful
0:33
because I am part of this platform where shney had reached out to me um and had
0:39
sent me a really nice message um really resonated with the podcast and I so
0:45
appreciate that and she is going to share her journey and a a lens that I
0:51
think is so and a perspective that is so incredibly important to share with our audience and before we do that I want to
0:56
share a little bit of a snippet of the message that I got from Charney when when she initially reached out which I
1:02
think resonated resonates so deeply with me and I think with a lot of people so
1:07
before we jump in I do want to share that and part of the message was I'm deeply passionate about inspiring women
1:13
to do things a different way and if life doesn't turn out as planned it often never does then how to navigate it so
1:19
that we are still happy and fulfilled possibly even if we are not
1:24
mothers so I guess I want to start there I want you to share your journey because I think it is so empowering and helpful
1:31
and inspiring and really important to for women to hear yeah well thank you so
1:38
much Beth and it's so wonderful to be on the show and like I said when I first listened to your podcast I was like oh
1:44
I'm just blown away that somebody is really focusing on this and focusing on women and supporting women at this age
1:52
going through what they go through between 35 45 you know this age we've been building up to that and I find that
1:59
that life so often doesn't work out the way we thought it was going to or the way we were planning and that's
2:07
definitely my journey and so that's why I'm so passionate about inspiring other women and I've even and i' would love to
2:14
share this with you I've got a a CH free checklists that I'd love to share with your listeners which is essentially like
2:20
my makeover checklist which is like how to how to do things in a different way or how to see things in a different way
2:26
because a life doesn't work out the way we think it should and we we all trying to live this fairy tale and it's just
2:33
not the reality and so that's very much my journey and my journey is is about
2:40
you know like Reinventing my life and the first thing that I talk about on my checklist is
2:46
about letting go and I think that's the biggest thing is that letting go of the story we thought we were going to be
2:52
living and that life that we thought we going to be living you know the the marriage the kids the you know happily
2:58
ever after and yeah that definitely wasn't my journey and that's why I'm
3:03
also so passionate about talking about it so yeah I'd happily share a little bit about my story along the way this
3:09
idea of letting go of the vision when it was so ingrained in us and kind of
3:15
internal we've internalized that message of like how did you if you could share like how you did your own work to let go
3:21
of the vision and how maybe you work with women to let go of the vision because I think that can be the hardest
3:26
part sometimes is accepting where you're at versus where you thought you would be
3:32
totally and yeah it's it's it's a big shift because we we we think life is
3:39
going to look some way and then it looks a total different way and the big thing for me and we were talking about that
3:44
earlier is about the grief like really grieving and being able to say this
3:49
didn't work out and that's that's that's okay for me to feel sad to feel like I'm allowed to grieve for that and going
3:57
through that grieving process whatever that means for you and there's so many beautiful tools and so many amazing
4:02
tools that I I work with with my clients on really releasing that but we've got to really feel the feelings of it as
4:09
well and then once we've really processed and we're working through that grieving process it's then about re
4:16
rewriting our story going okay well that didn't work out the way I thought it would but what do I have what am I
4:24
grateful for what have I got in my life and what can I then do that makes me
4:29
feel ffled and loved and seen and heard and all those things that we feel like we might not be having because we don't
4:36
have a family or a husband or all those other things and so how can I live a very full life in a way that might have
4:43
looked very different to what it did before and so it's about then reworking
4:48
that and and releasing limiting beliefs is a big part of that and that whole old story and rewriting that new story and
4:56
what that would be and so I that's the part that I love working with the client my clients is about okay what is your
5:03
purpose then you know if you thought your purpose was I'm going to be a mom to five kids and that hasn't happened
5:09
then let's ReDiscover what else makes you feel fulfilled and what else do you
5:14
want to do and it just because you're not a mom doesn't mean that your your life is meaningless so yeah looking at
5:21
things in a whole different way yeah I think that's incredible what you said and I think doing that work to rewrite
5:28
the vision so I'd love for you to share your personal Journey because I imagine it informs your work in such a beautiful
5:34
way that not only can you help women shift but you can say you know I get it I relate I've had to do the work and the
5:41
shifting and the rewriting of the vision myself so I'd love for you you've shared with me your journey in the in the
5:46
initial message and then when we got on the call but I would love for you to share it here because I think it is really powerful it it inspires it it
5:54
brings hope to other women it's it's like empowering to know like you love
6:00
your life you have a very beautiful life so I'd love you to share with the audience your journey thank you Beth so
6:06
yeah I mean the journey really started of when I got divorced at 30 well we
6:12
just signed the papers just after my 30th birthday and that was I was devastated because I was like this is
6:19
not how my life was going to be you know going and and I was the first person in my family and my friends and family
6:25
friends anybody that I knew that was getting divorced so wasn't exactly an easy choice and I felt like I was
6:32
letting people down I felt so guilty about it I felt like you know this is
6:37
not wasn't part of yeah my my dream life and and I remember so many people saying
6:44
to me oh but you're still so young there's lots of time to find another husband and kids and you'll be fine and
6:52
the years went by and I dated a few people but I never really connected with
6:57
someone on the on that level where really wanted to have children with them and I got to like 30 I think I was about
7:04
36 37 and now the alarm bells are going
7:09
because everyone says at 35 your eggs start shriveling up and you're going to have no hope of having kids and and
7:15
there wasn't really a prospect of okay what is this going to look like because those years between 30 and 36 I just
7:22
piled my whole life into my work and building my company and I was like I
7:28
don't need a man I can do this all on my own and I was in full Superwoman mode I didn't have time to or energy to put
7:35
into a relationship and so it now got to me being about 36 years old and going
7:41
okay well maybe I should freeze my eggs then because this is what you should do with this age and be responsible and
7:47
have that as insurance and so a friend and I went to go and see the doctor together and she gave us she was amazing
7:56
and she just gave us all this insight and and a lot of knowledge know around what this
8:01
entails yeah she was incredible and so we both did the test in our eggs and my
8:07
friend had this abundant amount of eggs that she she could be using and mine
8:13
were like okay not so many so I decided that it was important to freeze them and
8:18
so I did my whole egg freezing process at 37 and I remember I
8:24
think 37 37 on I I did my egg freezing really amazing yeah I think by that age
8:30
it's like okay we really need to focus on you know having this as a backup and
8:36
the the doctor she wanted to get I think it was about 12 eggs from that first um
8:43
process and we got two so I got two little eggs that were ready to for me
8:50
when I was ready for them and she said we need to do this process about six or seven more times to get the amount of
8:57
eggs that you will need and and I was like there's no ways I'm not doing that
9:03
again oh my gosh I can't even imagine what that was like for you one to hear
9:08
what you got but two then to hear you have to put your body your emotions your
9:13
like yourself through this six or seven more times what was what was that like for you to hear that devastating because
9:20
first of all having all those hormones in my body like my body just really did not enjoy that whole process and the my
9:28
whole life I've been telling my body don't fall pregnant don't fall pregnant and now I was like okay no fall pregnant fall pregnant I like it's really
9:35
confused well not fall pregnant but let's get some eggs and um yeah and so
9:40
it was really confusing exhausting um emotional I just cried through that
9:47
whole month process I was actually daing I had a beautiful boyfriend at the time and he was really supportive in this
9:53
whole process obviously I was just doing this for me but um it was I was very grateful to have him there but he must
10:00
have thought I was crazy at that time so I was just an absolute me a lot so it's
10:06
so much and I always say this like it confronts you in so many ways and until you're actually in it like you don't
10:12
know what to anticipate or to expect or how your body is going to react to emotions to the hormones or like what
10:17
where you're going to be on an emotional level so it's definitely helpful to have a nice support system as you go through
10:23
it totally and my parents were so amazing and so supportive and they were the ones who were encouraging it in the
10:29
beginning and so it was a yeah an interesting process and then so we got our two eggs which we called Eggbert
10:36
renamed them and we put them in the freezer and we had them there for insurance I was like okay we can you
10:42
know now I can carry on with my life and I really do take my head off to ladies who do IVF over and over and over again
10:50
and put themselves through that because I got to experience a little bit of that and I'm just like wow the strength that
10:57
it must take from an emot point of view and just from a physical point of view it's absolutely huge and financially as
11:04
well it's like all of it is just really intense yeah so that was that whole
11:10
journey and I was like okay let's I've done that let's move on and um I got
11:16
to yeah my in my 40s and then I was just like why am I why am I putting my whole
11:21
life on hold to because I was as I said I was in this whole like running my business but I also wasn't doing a lot
11:27
of traveling that I could have been doing because at that time I was I had a whole wellness company and I was taking
11:34
ladies over to Barley on wellness retreats and I had my own Studio my yoga studio in Cape Town in South Africa and
11:41
I could have traveled so much more but I kept on always thinking but what if I'm pregnant next year or what if I'm with a
11:47
partner what if I'm married and so I felt like I put my whole 30s kind of on hold waiting for this to happen yeah
11:54
that's such an interesting yeah that's I think that's important to talk about too because I've seen that a lot in my in my
12:01
own journey in the work I I do as a therapist with women in their 30s this idea of like this waiting like we're
12:08
waiting for these things to happen we're waiting to meet the person we're waiting to have the babies and you know I do a
12:14
lot of work with clients and it's not easy and I I I know you know the stories that you've shared about your journey
12:20
like shifting out of that like stop we trying to say like life is happening now
12:26
you you have to live now and like moving out of the we in and really sort of the ripple effect and impact when you can
12:32
shift out of the waiting to the the living actually like really does start happening and it's so important to do it
12:39
that way as well and so at some point after this whole experience of freezing my eggs and working myself you know to
12:46
death and I actually burned out completely so I had this big burnout I think at the time I was running like two
12:52
to three Wellness companies and as I said doing it all on my own going I don't need you know help and support
12:57
from a man I think i' broke woken up with this Boyfriend by that stage and I was like I can do this all by myself and
13:03
totally totally totally burnt out and it was just before that that I froze my eggs and so I was now a absolute mess
13:11
couldn't actually run my business and so I was running a retreat in bar I had three retreats in a row and at that last
13:17
Retreat I just decided I'm not going home I'm staying here I'm going to heal
13:23
I'm going to look after myself and recover from this burnout and chronic fatigue and everything else that i' had
13:30
inflicted in my life and so yeah so I sold my business I did all sorts of
13:36
things and just like left and sold wine business gave one business up just like got out of my flat and I was just like
13:43
I'm staying in barley and I spent three months focusing on my own burnout recovery journey and my own healing
13:50
Journey yeah it was it was pretty intense because I was working with a lot of the bines healers the local healers
13:56
the acupuncturist but it was amazing amazing experience and I just totally Switched Off My Life essentially for
14:02
almost almost a year I was off social media for almost a year and just focused on my own healing Journey which was such
14:09
a blessing well and when you and I talked previously like I just like gave you so
14:16
much props for doing that because I think we can all get really stuck in the burnout and the grind and keep hustling
14:23
and like I think as women we have very expansive capacity so like we can do a lot but do we actually have to do a lot
14:29
and you know when you and I spoke I was I was in this process of stepping back
14:34
and we talked about like from a little bit of my clinical work and just emotionally as people that are helping
14:40
other people like the narratives that go into that and the guilt and like I just thought it was and think it's so
14:46
incredible and I said this to you on the phone as well that you took you gave yourself the permission to take that
14:51
step back and say to yourself like I am so burnt out like I need to do this for
14:57
myself and you did it and I think that is that's really I feel like such an important message too because again I
15:02
think as women we we have expansive capacity we can take on a lot but we do find ourselves in this burnout and even
15:09
when we're there it's so hard to give the permission to take the space to take the break that we need
15:15
so incredible that you did that I know that's you integrate that into your work
15:21
you do talk a lot about burnout definitely because I feel like that's what so many of us are facing nowadays
15:27
especially women because a big part of our journey as women is that we have this monthly cycle that we tend to just
15:34
ignore and pretend that it doesn't exist or get really irritated with and it's so
15:39
important to really tap into that and so with the work that I do especially with my ladies is really you know focus on
15:47
cyclical living and when it is our moon time being able to really go into that hibernation mode and take three days off
15:54
and you know do what you need to do to be more in that winter kind of space and look after ourselves and nurture
16:00
ourselves and not everybody has the capacity to to leave and go off to Barley for a few months to heal and
16:07
recover but I also want to share that like at that time in my life I didn't have that capacity either I didn't have
16:14
the means to do it and I was just like okay this is a non-negotiable my house right now is a non-negotiable and this
16:20
is important and it's not like I had all this money floating around or you know I felt like I was letting my clients down
16:27
that were back at home and so it's it wasn't an easy decision to make but it's
16:32
almost like my body was saying this is the only choice there is no other you
16:39
know no other way and so this is it if you're not doing this then you're going to land up in some Mental Clinic
16:45
somewhere and that wasn't an option so yeah it was it was so necessary yeah
16:52
it's interesting like what our body will tell us and like on a on a very smaller scale like before before I you know I
16:59
was in school to be a therapist I was bartending in the city I was coaching I was doing 800 million things non-stop
17:05
around the clock and every so often I think it would be like once or once a month or once every other month my body
17:12
would just like nope and I couldn't get out of bed for like a day or two days and it was my body that finally told me
17:18
enough like you need to rest it wasn't my mind so it's interesting like this idea of like at some point your body is
17:25
not going to give you a choice like you have to you have to rest totally and so often we ignore those little messages
17:31
when they're little Whispers or taps on our shoulders and then eventually you feel like you've been ritten over by a
17:36
bus and you're like oh yeah okay that was what those little messages were for
17:42
it's so true it's so true so tell me okay so you you take this time off you
17:48
take time to heal yourself you give yourself permission to step back and focus on your health what tell us after
17:54
that what was you know what was next for you so Co then happened well actually
17:59
then I came back to cap to and decided Bar's not going to be home so I came back sold everything got everything
18:05
organized officially moved to Bary and that was about a year before that was like at the end of 2018 so um I was
18:12
there for about a year before everything shut down the world shut down and so luckily I'd already done all of that I'd
18:19
got rid of a whole lot of stuff I just had like four suitcases my life was very simple very light and then the world
18:27
shut down and i' had already sold my company and put everything online which i' had organized the year before so it
18:33
just felt like my Angels were looking after me and I had this amazing time in my life where you know barley wasn't
18:41
really affected that much with the pandemic and so the island was closed to tourists coming in so we had all these
18:46
islands to explore we had amazing Villas to stay in at ridiculous prices and at
18:52
that time I was dating this wonderful Italian guy so we literally just traveled around the islands you know
18:59
that year which was amazing experience and so like I said life doesn't work out how we organized or how we wanted to or
19:06
trying to control it but there I was you know the rest of the world is in a tiny little shoe box that they totally stuck
19:11
in and here I am like just going like wow this is my life and half the time I've got all these photos that I still
19:17
haven't posted because I'm still feeling bad and guilty about this amazing life we had no awesome put them up there yeah
19:25
well now now I'm I'm over that now but um at that time it was just the most
19:30
phenomenal experience in such a beautiful year and I felt so held by the universe really and um towards the end
19:39
of that year actually and I haven't really shared this with many people so but I would love to share this with you
19:44
and your listeners um I I I then made the decision to to
19:50
unfreeze my eggs so this was now a few years later how old would I have been I
19:56
can't even remember um but in my let's say early 40s um probably like 41 42 and
20:04
I um I just made the choice of because you know with egg freezing it come payment comes up every year and you got
20:10
this reminder about it all and I just the year before I was like do am I going to really use those and so this time it
20:16
came around again and I remember thinking when I did the freezing of the eggs I was so stressed out and my body
20:24
was so drained and depleted and exhausted and since and I've learned so much I've done ve many yoga teachers
20:31
trainings and on my Yin Yoga teachers training you learn that the chi or like the life force in your body as the man
20:39
and the woman when you conceive that Chi is then passed to the baby so the child
20:45
if you all vital and have all this energy and you you know you're healthy and you're looking after yourself then
20:50
that baby's going to get that energy and that Chi and at the time when I froze my eggs I was an absolute mess and and
20:58
burnt out and depleted and exhausted and stressed and overworked and it was all
21:04
my own doing CU I was on my own bus but you know this is how it worked and so we
21:09
do but we do do this to ourselves and I just think at the time like those two little eggs that I got
21:15
were so stressed out and shriveled up and I thought yes they were younger but they not I was in a healthier space
21:21
years later so I thought you know what I would rather let this happen naturally if this is what's meant to happen and
21:28
instead of then doing the whole process of now putting the eggs inside me so I was like okay so let's let them go so I
21:34
did this beautiful ceremony let go of the eggs my dad was like oh I word you murdering
21:39
Eggbert we un FR them and um and funny enough then the
21:48
boyfriend that I was with we started discussing because we always said we weren't going to have kids then we started chatting about it and decided
21:54
okay let's give this a try and we and there's a whole another story but it'll
22:00
take way too long to explain all of this but yeah there was this moment where I was like I know that this is meant this
22:05
is part of the bigger picture this is meant to happen and we have created this beautiful conscious conception ceremony
22:13
and we did that and we had this most amazing experience and and I was like I wonder if that was the moment and as I
22:20
thought that there was this huge big like lightning strike and thunder and I was like oh okay now she's here and
22:26
literally two days later I could feel this little soul like inside me it was
22:32
the most incredible incredible experience and so for a few weeks
22:38
because yeah she she didn't go full term so for a few weeks I felt such a beautiful connection with her and I got
22:45
a download of her name and everything it was just the most like spiritually incredible yeah magical
22:52
magical experience and I felt so grateful that I had that experience because I've never been PRN prant you
22:58
know before that I didn't know what everyone felt like I didn't know what everyone was talking about and I had
23:03
these few weeks with her when I was just like wow this is what it is and it was
23:10
amazing and then um yeah then the relationship that what I was in was quite toxic at that time and he was we
23:18
were fighting a lot and I just remember one moment thinking like this is not the situation I want to be in or bring a
23:24
child into and that evening I went to yoga when I came home then everything
23:30
kind of came out of me and it was just like this whole process of like okay that's that was that then and yeah so
23:36
that was another whole journey of experiencing what it was like as a woman
23:43
having a miscarriage being pregnant and and I never thought that was going to be part of my journey and so going through
23:50
that obviously then takes another whole journey of healing and broke up with the
23:55
the boyfriend and did a whole year of womb healing and thank goodness I was still in B so now I was like seeing all
24:01
my same my healers and really focusing on my healing the womb healing the healing of you know the soul and letting
24:09
her pass through and it was literally a whole year and and I got to this point where I was doing another Yin Yoga
24:15
teachers training and we in this Yin class it was the first day and we've got
24:20
three hours of lying um I don't know if you know much about Yen Yoga do you do Yan yoga at all Beth I don't I do yoga
24:28
but I don't know much about yin yoga if you could share a little here what differentiates it I mean if you could do
24:33
it in I don't know how involved it is but yeah I would love to learn more it sounds so impactful so Yin is it's very
24:41
slow you do like five yoga poses in the whole hour and a half also this was a three-hour session we like it's very
24:48
gentle you got it got pillows and props and you're literally like hanging a pillow on the floor for the wild class
24:54
it's amazing it is so good for like lowering our central nervous system and just like
25:01
really getting you into like full relaxation mode so we're now in this training it's like a long session and I
25:08
just am crying through the whole thing I'm thinking to myself I don't know why
25:14
I'm crying like nothing's particularly wrong at the moment in life life is all good but then something made me think of
25:20
like go and check your diary and at the end of the session I went back looked at my diary and it was exactly a year when
25:28
she left and when I had them as coach exactly a year to the day and I don't remember the date yeah that was so
25:35
powerful oh my God it's so incredible how our just our bodies work and like
25:42
when we tune into our bodies or what our bodies try to tell us and like that's such an incredible story of like having
25:49
that those emotions coming up and not connecting to why because maybe on Surface everything is going well and
25:55
you've grieved and you feel like you've healed and to go back can see like your body is telling you like this was the date wow the date and that whole year
26:03
like if I was doing meditation or breath work she would always come through and we' have like was beautiful I felt so connected to her but after that session
26:11
it was kind of like it had released it was like almost like that whole experience was now complete and there
26:17
was that closure and I could move on so yeah that was my little moment of of not
26:23
having that whole experience and since then it's such a beautiful um what's the
26:30
word I feel so at peace now knowing that my role in this lifetime is not to have
26:37
children and I'm totally okay with that and I love my life so much because now I'm like I don't have to worry about
26:43
anyone else I can travel the world and I can do what I I can be a little bit selfish in this lifetime which is so
26:49
good for me and do my yoga do my meditation not have anyone interrupting me go for massages whenever I want to
26:56
but I also feel like my purpose in this lifetime is to support other women and to hold them in a space when they
27:03
feeling stressed because I just don't live that life anymore and I like I RAR
27:09
Believe In Living this life that's slower and more simple and more connected to ourselves and our intuition
27:15
and our body and I believe you my my purpose in this life is to support other
27:21
women to encourage them to feel the same way and feel nurtured and nourished and held I I love that and I love your work
27:27
so much because I think it can be so hard to do that especially to stay like individually accountable to that like
27:35
self accountable to that and so to have someone like you support that journey and and just stay accountable to slowing
27:41
down it it's gets really hard to do that especially like you know we're we're outside the city like I my office is in
27:48
the city and it's always such a hustle and grind so it can be you know hard to slow down or give yourself the
27:53
permission to slow down so I love that you're doing that work and you're offering that support to women I'm curious to know and I think
28:01
this is important for other women to hear is how did
28:07
you sort of that that closure like release you know and I would say you
28:13
were a mother because you were but how did you release like well yeah I you
28:19
were I mean you are you were like absolutely like you had that connection 100% like um but what I think is so
28:27
great is that you know from your initial message to our calls to now it's like you are so confident in that lir is so
28:34
much life even if you're not a mother and there is so much fulfillment and was there a point for you that there was
28:41
maybe it was after this y training but like there was like okay like this is my journey up to this point and this is
28:47
what life is going to this is how my life will be fulfilling or purposeful or passionate and really not getting caught
28:54
in I'm not or I know you shared like you know a lot of your friends have kids and not getting comp like caught in
28:59
comparison just really like being grounded and grateful in your life in your journey yeah sure
29:06
um part of my a big part of my healing Journey throughout most of my life I'd
29:12
say half of my life has been very much focused on my own personal development
29:18
my own um healing and natural healing as well and so yoga and meditation have
29:24
just been huge for me like I say like yoga and meditation saved my life you know multiple times and so my meditation
29:32
practice is like every single morning I meditate no matter what like that has to happen because that I know definitely
29:40
helps me be calmer but it also helps me connect to you know my higher self my
29:47
intuition and just my yeah living the life like keeping me on my path so that's the
29:54
meditation and the yoga is definitely more about the movement into moving my body and keeping my body healthy eating
29:59
well sleeping well you know all the lifestyle tips that we always know we should be doing so very very important
30:07
um but a lot of it has to do with um going for getting help and my big thing
30:14
thank goodness I was in a space where I know I knew a lot of healers I'm friends with a lot of them we did a lot of work
30:21
together and it takes time and energy and money to invest in that but we can't
30:27
if you don't do that work then the the grief and the feeling like we're not
30:33
enough feeling like we're not worthy all of that stuff is just going to be there for the rest of our lives and so we
30:38
really got to dig deep into that space and work with a coach or a mentor or
30:44
healers that can help us unpack that all to a point where it's not such an
30:49
emotional charge anymore you know like now I can I've got go to my friends birthday parties and all their kids are
30:54
running around and I'm like so happy for them but there were moments when I actually couldn't be around them when
31:00
they had when they were newborns because it was too hard for me it was too too much of an emotional charge for me and I
31:07
was like okay I happy for you but I just can't can't be in the space whereas now I'm just it's so beautiful for them and
31:14
actually to share the story that the friend that came with me to the doctor initially to go and talk about the egg
31:21
freezing she landed up um having IVF and having a child through the IVF with that
31:26
doctor and her little boy just turned a year old now last week so it's like lovely success story from her side and
31:35
that's why like we don't know what our journey is going to be and there we are sitting at the doctor's office you know
31:40
many many years ago her and I and she's now gone through that whole route had the baby my story is like very very
31:47
different but we're both happy with where we are right now well I don't know she's just he's just turned one so I
31:53
think she's getting to the point of being happy she's she's still getting there she's sleeping she's sleeping
32:00
again she's still sleeping it's like this yeah like her her story is a
32:06
success story and your story is a success story too and they're just different paths and I think that's
32:11
creating that framework for women and that mindset that you know you can define success to look any way you want
32:18
your life can look any way you want and I think it's like you know the work that you do the work that you've done for
32:24
yourself is so helpful to reframe that you know it doesn't look one way and if it doesn't look that way doesn't mean it
32:30
has to be an unhappy or unfulfilled life so I I think that such an more an
32:35
important work that you do important messages that you've put out and you've obviously you've lived it you've healed it and you can pay it forward so I think
32:43
that is so so amazing um yeah and share more I'm curious like so you do work
32:49
with a lot of women I want you to share like where everyone can find you how maybe to work with you or if you're if
32:54
you are doing Retreats again and maybe just just one success story that you have yours is obviously success success
33:01
story but like maybe another woman that you've worked with that that struggled with these same narratives or comparison
33:07
or I'm not a mom I want to be a mom and how you helped her maybe get to where you are where it's like life is still
33:14
beautiful even if it didn't look how you anticipated I'd love to share so many
33:19
stories we might be a all day but um yeah I think one of the biggest things
33:25
that I I do with with working with my clients is discovering what their life um
33:32
blueprint is and I can do this with women in one session so we literally
33:38
have like a two-hour session where we go through your their live blueprint and we look at their road map and what the
33:44
action plan is going forward so it doesn't have to be like I have got a beautiful three month coaching program which is really goes into all the depths
33:51
and steps that we've been speaking about but um the one-off session is just a wonderful way of figuring out what is my
33:58
particular blueprint because we're all different and for me learning that for
34:03
myself was such a game changer because actually in my blueprint there's like
34:09
all these archetypes are all about freedom and Independence and creativity and being like the traveling butterfly
34:16
and there's not really a lot there about being a mom so so I was like okay this
34:21
isn't too bad you know then I must just Embrace that and not feeling like um I've let anyone down or I'm a terrible
34:28
person of society because now I'm not you know fulfilling this role of being a mother so really owning who I am and
34:36
there's still there's a lot of healing energy in there though so like very much the Healer but not necessarily the the
34:41
mother nurturing energy so knowing that for myself was so groundbreaking because
34:47
then I it's also giving myself permission of going it's okay if I don't have a 9 to-5 job and I don't have a
34:54
white picket fence in a house and a family you know why can't I live wherever I want to why can't I travel
34:59
the world why can't I live in barley for five years like I just have and and do work that I love and you know about to
35:07
yeah get to my mid 40s and absolutely love my life and that's okay to say that
35:13
and to own that so learning more about ourselves is so important because yeah
35:20
who knows where you know where you are with your blueprint and once you
35:25
discovered that then it's so much easier to go okay this is who I am as a person and my personality and then going what
35:32
are the steps going forward what do I really want to focus on what is that road map and how do I get there so
35:38
that's the one session that I do which is super super super powerful and then as I said then I've
35:44
got a three-month coaching program as well and then I also run my Retreats what we just recently been doing is
35:49
doing more one-on-one barley Retreats so private Retreats and VIP Retreats and
35:55
this is especially for women that are have maybe gone through their own like eay love you know experience or wanting
36:02
to experience that or just got divorced or not wanting to fall pregnant but are
36:08
needing to relax needing to focus on themselves needing to feel nurtured and nourished and then I take them to valy
36:14
where they for like s to 10 days depending on how much time they have and they are just totally pampered and
36:20
nurtured so everything is organized for them all they need to do is Rock up and we go to the islands we go to word we
36:27
have amazing like sound healing spiritual healing and it's just the most incredible experience so that's also
36:34
like what I really love doing is being able to hold women's space you know for them in beautiful paradise but
36:42
essentially um yeah what I just love supporting ladies and the way that the best way to connect with me is to really
36:49
download that free um checklist that I said because it gives a lot of insight
36:55
in there so it's literally shiny quinn.com checklist and yeah and it's just go
37:02
download that then you're part of my community I've then got your contact details we can get in touch and of
37:09
course I'm on Instagram and you know there's bodyy photos and videos and inspirational stuff there as well but
37:15
yeah the best way is really just to connect and so from there we can see what the listener you know what they are
37:22
going through and how I can support them on their Journey oh that's so incredible and just like the different options are
37:29
so incredible right because it's not one siiz fits all so maybe it is the one session maybe it's the three-month coaching maybe it is the one-on-one
37:35
retreat with PA like really personalizing it I think that's so incredible and I just wanted to touch on
37:40
one thing that you said in terms of like understanding your blueprint because I think what happens for a lot
37:47
of women or what women have shared with me is that so many messages are thrown
37:52
at us from a very young age that we internalize as how it should be and really there aren't many moments
37:59
where unless we're doing some good work or in therapy or working with a coach that we stop and say well do I actually
38:05
want that like is that meant for me like or why do I want that do I want that because I authentically want that for
38:11
myself or I was told to want that so I really love what you said about when you know yourself when you understand
38:18
yourself when you understand your blueprint or what's meant from you from there it's just a lot of growth healing
38:25
more fulfillment more purpose so I think that's hugely important to to take that step and to get in tune with yourself
38:31
because there's so much external noise and messaging and inner critic and all these things that like lead us away
38:38
potentially from what we're really meant for and I would love to share two stories actually from clients of mine if
38:45
we still have time to do that so the one lady she was one of my private clients that we um that I coached over three
38:52
months and she was from Paris and corporate will you know big corporate
38:57
lady and she was engaged and she came to me in an absolute Panic going I don't
39:03
know if I want this I don't know if I'm you know want this life where it's just
39:08
busy and and eventually we work through the whole process and she realized she was engaged to someone because her
39:15
family really liked him not because she was actually in love with the guy so through the whole process she had she
39:20
had broken up with him she had left the corporate job and at the end of this beautiful three Monon coaching program
39:27
together she realized that she wants to have more freedom so she was kind of on the same blueprint as me it was like
39:34
Freedom she was in her mid-30s she wasn't ready to be a mom yet and she was putting all this pressure to be that at
39:40
that age and she was like I want to just I want to travel the world she came to Bary we actually met up in person as
39:46
well which was amazing and she's now in like the health and wellness industry and she went and studied um hypnotherapy
Bali Retreats and Women's Space
39:53
and she's just she's flying she is doing so well and the biggest thing is that she's so happy and she's now in a
40:00
relationship with someone where she said you know he rely sees me and I feel so
40:07
safe and seen which you didn't feel before so such a beautiful
40:12
story yeah really stunning from that side of her finding her Freedom again
40:18
but then I've got another story from um a client of mine who was on one of my bar Retreats and she had already had a
40:25
child and she was desperate to have another one and she had been through I think five miscarriages and three ivfs
40:34
and it was years of trying and it just wasn't happening and on the retreat you
40:42
know I teach ladies about meditation and breath work and we go do yoga every morning and but we have fun as well you
40:49
know and we also you know it's yoga in the mornings cocktails at night you know so it's a fun Retreat when we there
40:56
obviously not if you're pregnant and and so she was battling to fall
41:02
pregnant and then when we were working together the big Focus for her was about being healthy not focusing on falling
41:09
pregnant and she went to this one Indian doctor and he was teaching her some breathing techniques and she said to me
41:16
she goes Sean you know the stuff that you were teaching me was actually like it really is legit people these doctors
41:23
I was like I know like might not listen to me but you'll listen to doctor which is fine and um she landed up her Focus was
Understanding Yourself and Your Desires
41:31
on her health her happiness her wellbeing and she landed up falling pregnant naturally and having two more
41:37
kids after that so it's just oh my God I know and the third one was a total
41:43
surprise so that was not meant to happen but that's what happens when you look
41:48
after your Wellness yeah yeah we had a similar um call today about that and we
41:53
were talking more focused on nutrition but like just these benefits not just to fertility but overall when you when you
42:00
take care of yourself and like you get clear on what you want what you need
42:05
what your body needs and just removing the stress like stress is so harmful to
42:10

42:17
